Arndell Anglican College values the support of parents and carers who generously give their time to assist across the life of the College. Opportunities to volunteer may include supporting classroom activities such as reading groups, attending excursions, or assisting with sporting teams.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, all volunteers are required to complete the College’s volunteer requirements prior to participating. This includes:
Volunteers play an important role in supporting staff and students and are expected to follow all College guidelines and directions when participating in school activities. For example, when attending excursions, volunteers assist teachers with the supervision of small groups, while the teacher retains overall responsibility and duty of care. To maintain a safe and focused environment for all students, volunteers are asked to adhere to expectations regarding supervision, student wellbeing, and privacy, including appropriate use of photography and social media.
Due to logistical and safety considerations, the number of volunteers able to attend certain activities (such as excursions within our Junior School) may be limited. In these cases, the College will communicate the selection process directly to families.
