College Clinic

Caring for the Whole Student

At Arndell Anglican College, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our College Clinic, staffed by Registered Nurses with paediatric experience, provides professional, on-site care for students during the school day. Located opposite the Administration Building, the Clinic operates from 8:00am to 4:00pm, ensuring timely support when it’s needed most.

The Clinic is a vital part of our Christ-centred approach to pastoral care, empowering every student to grow, belong, and flourish. It is available for injuries or illnesses that occur during school hours, while conditions arising outside of school should be managed by an external healthcare professional. To protect the wellbeing of the wider College community, students with fever, diarrhoea, or vomiting should remain at home for at least 24 hours before returning.

Parents and carers play a critical role in supporting student wellbeing. It is essential that the College is informed of any medical conditions, allergies, or diagnosed behavioural conditions so that an individualised care plan can be developed. During enrolment, an additional Information Form is submitted for each student, including action plans for asthma, anaphylaxis, or other health needs. These forms should be updated as circumstances change.

Written permission is required for the administration of any medication at the College or during College events. If a student becomes unwell during the day, they should visit the College Clinic for assessment. Parents/carers will be contacted only after a professional review; students should not make direct contact with parents for this purpose.
