Arndell Anglican College invites applications for the position of Senior Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator. Reporting to the Facilities and WHS Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring that the College’s facilities, grounds, buildings, and agricultural spaces are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the academic, pastoral, and spiritual life of the College. The Senior Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure the College’s presentation, safety, and functionality are exemplary and reflective of Arndell’s values. This role also supports College operations and events, contributing to the wider life of the College, which may include occasional attendance at sporting and community events. In this role, you will:
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), including non-term time. Start and finish times may vary with seasonal and workload requirements. The role requires experience in building, landscaping and horticultural, and/or facilities maintenance, and relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Horticulture, Certificates in Building and Constructions and/or Certificate III in Animal Care Services) will be highly regarded. You will have a minimum 3 years+ experience in coordinating team members and working in a team environment. The role requires a Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and requires the successful candidate to have a reasonable level of physical fitness to perform manual and outdoor duties safely. The Intern Program is a school-based training program designed to build skills in a broad range of day-to-day school experiences, not ordinarily covered as part of university study or practicum experiences. Alongside university study and as part of the staff team in one of the Anglican Schools Corporation schools, Interns are supported by a dedicated mentor and are engaged in rich learning opportunities in preparation for their first teaching role. The position suits self-motivated people who want to broaden their experience in a school setting alongside their tertiary study. Successful applicants will work in a collaborative environment, should be willing to contribute to all facets of school life, and have a desire to share their Christian faith.
