Welcome

Welcome to the conclusion of Term 1 for 2024. This marks the inception of a series of informative videos and articles curated by our Executive Team, aimed at keeping you abreast of the events and developments at the College.

As we rotate throughout our Executive Team, each member will provide an overview of ongoing developments and initiatives across the College. Through this avenue, we are committed to continuing our partnership with you and ensuring each member of our community remains informed and engaged in the journey ahead.

Easter

As a community rooted in Christian faith, we trust that you had a rejuvenating weekend, cherishing moments with your loved ones and engaging in reflections at church, pondering upon the profound significance of Christ's death and resurrection.

Year 7, 2025

The College is experiencing a sustained surge in demand, evidenced by robust enrolment numbers for Year 7, 2025. As a result, our Year 7 cohort for the upcoming year is now at full capacity, prompting the initiation of a waitlist for prospective students seeking admission.

Should you or someone you know be interested in enrolling a child for Year 7, 2025, we encourage you to reach out to our Enrolments Manager at 4572 3633 or complete the Online Application Form accessible on the College website at https://www.arndell.nsw.edu.au/enrolments/how-to-enrol/

Furthermore, families considering enrolment for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2026, and beyond are strongly advised to submit an Online Application Form promptly to secure placement on the waitlist. This proactive step will help ensure your readiness for future intake opportunities.

College Building Program

We are thrilled to announce significant advancements in the enhancement and expansion of our College facilities. Following the approval of a comprehensive $100 million, 15-year masterplan approved by both the College Council and The Anglican Schools Corporation, we are ready to embark on a transformative journey that will elevate the educational experience for our students.

Central to this masterplan is the vision of shaping a College environment capable of accommodating approximately 1500 students. This endeavour will not only cater to our growing student body but also facilitate the cultivation of a dynamic and enriching learning community.

Among the key highlights of this masterplan are the development of state-of-the-art facilities, including the expansion of the existing gym into a double gym, Art facilities, TAS (Technological and Applied Studies) facilities, a dedicated Wellbeing Centre and a new building for Junior School. These additions are meticulously designed to bolster our students' educational opportunities, fostering creativity, physical fitness, and holistic wellbeing.

As we prepare to commence construction on these transformative projects, we remain committed to keeping our community informed every step of the way. Regular updates will be shared to ensure transparency and engagement, as we collectively witness the evolution of our College into a beacon of educational excellence.

Headmaster’s Leave

As Week 10 of Term 1 draws to a close, I would like to inform you that I will be commencing Study Leave shortly. During the upcoming April holiday break, I will be accompanying students from Years 10 – 12 on the College Europe Tour, marking our first excursion of this nature in several years. Following this, I will be spending Term 2 abroad, undertaking various courses to further enrich my professional development.

During my absence Mr Austin Robinson, Deputy Head, will assume the role of Acting Headmaster. With his extensive tenure as a member of our Executive Team, I have full confidence in his ability to lead our College community adeptly during this period.

I wish each member of our community a successful Term 2 and I look forward to engaging with you on my return in Term 3.

God Bless,

Dr Gareth D. Leechman
