Junior Library

The Junior Library Centre (JLC) provides extra opportunities for learning at Arndell College. We have an extensive range of print resources, both fiction and non-fiction, and these resources are separated into books more suitable for students in Kindergarten to year 2, and a separate collection for students in Years 3 to 6. Our library catalogue of resources is available online as well as at school on our website. The library staff are always available to offer advice to students and parents regarding suitable books to read for each student’s age, reading ability and interests. The books are being constantly up-dated to provide the newest and the best for students to read.

The library computer room houses 30 networked computers for information technology lessons. This allows the students to become computer literate – an extremely important skill in today’s world! Our library staff  also have use of an Interactive Whiteboard to help ensure our research lessons are interesting and fun.

The JLC is open until 3:30pm and at lunchtimes Monday to Thursday so that students can come and borrow books, read or play a quiet game with their friends. Lego and games ensure that the students find something different to do most lunchtime when they are here.
