Infants - Prep, Kindergarten, Years 1 & 2
The Infants school at Arndell Anglican College is a busy and exciting learning environment. It is wonderful to observe the learning that occurs throughout each school day, not only in the academic field, but also in the growth and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This year has been the inaugural year of the Pre-Kindergarten class, known as Prep. Children are able to enter the Prep class, the year prior to school commencement. The Prep class provides a readiness for school programme and it is wonderful to see the progress our youngest students make in their early childhood setting.
The Kindergarten, Years One and Two students have the opportunity to become proficient in using computers, and the College has provided a computer laboratory, solely for the use of the Infants students. In addition every Infants classroom is equipped with two computers. Computer technology is applied across Key Learning Areas.
The students participate in a variety of excursions to complement their learning in Science and Technology and HSIE topics, but the most popular with the students are the excursions to Sydney Aquarium, Taronga Park Zoo and Featherdale Wildlife Park.
Other enjoyable events are the Infants Athletics Day, Water Fun Day, Cross Country, Parents’ Day and Grandparents’ Day as well as special dress up days.
